The Devon Handfasting Network is a group of trained, experienced priestesses who can provide Handfastings or Pagan Weddings. The area they cover is Devon, and surrounding areas of North and South East Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.

They can Handfast Pagans and non-Pagans, heterosexual and same-sex couples, undertaking Handfastings as stand-alone ceremonies, or linked to civil weddings or partnership ceremonies. Handfastings can be held outdoors on the beautiful beaches, cliffs, moors and woodlands, or at indoor venues from your own home to hotels and other formal wedding venues.

What They Offer

Their celebrants have all received in-depth training and work to very high standards. They will advise you on the legal and practical aspects of Handfasting, and put you in touch with one of their celebrants who will provide sample ceremonies and work with you to devise your own unique and personal ceremony. They will then conduct the ceremony for you and provide the necessary equipment. (Please not that they are not wedding planners!)

Each ceremony that they conduct is unique and devised to meet the needs of the couple concerned, be they Pagan or not. Their celebrants are experienced in different Pagan paths and traditions and can work ceremonies for people of all traditions or none. They also have specialists in same sex ceremonies.

Making a Booking

Charges comprise of a reasonable fee, plus travelling expenses.

You are advised to book as early as possible as they have a limited number of celebrants. Dates in the summer, especially around major Pagan festivals such as Beltane, Midsummer and Lammas tend to get booked up months in advance, so please don’t leave it to the last minute to get in contact.
